Writing My Name
Writing and decorating your child's name – Build familiarity with how it looks and sounds.
Setup
0-5 minutes
Time required
5-10 minutes
Materials
Craft supplies, paper, pencil, and glue.
How to Play
Write your child's name in big writing on a piece of paper. Have your child glue pipe cleaners, feathers, noodles etc. to the page on the letters. They will be able to see and feel how their name is spelled.
Some Tips
Children like to write their names on their work. If you do this, your child will want to copy you as soon as he/she is able to form letters.
Make it Easier
Instead of writing your child's name, you can start with their initials.
Make it Harder
Have your child trace and then write their name themselves.
