Plates, sand or sugar.
How to Play
Always supervise your child when playing with objects like sand. Pour sand or sugar onto a paper plate. Say a letter and ask your child to trace and say the letter in the sand or sugar.
Some Tips
If you don’t have sand or sugar available, simply write out letters in large print on paper and have your child trace and say these.
Make it Easier
You trace the letter and ask your child to say the letter. Start with letters that are in their name.
Make it Harder
Ask your child to trace and say letter blends such as TH, SH, SN, etc.
